This comprehensive hands-on Police K9 Trainer Course combines classroom study and practical application for Law Enforcement only. This course will teach and certify a student as a Police K9 Trainer upon successful completion. If your goals as a Police K9 handler include becoming a K9 trainer for a K9 Unit, setting yourself up for promotion, or growing your K9 unit, then this is the course for you. This course will prepare a student to train police dogs.
Course Objectives
- A Student will use what they are taught to have a working understanding of canine behavior, canine behavior modification, and canine training techniques.
- Students will apply what they have been taught to open or manage the training of a K9 Unit.
- Students will acquire the tools and resources needed to further their careers within a K9 Unit.
- A student will use techniques taught in this course to train police dogs as a professional dog trainer or consultant.
