Custom Canine Unlimited has just delivered a course like no other. Preparing K-9 Handlers to write complete and accurate K-9 deployment reports. After a strong student base of Police K-9 handlers and trainers requested that CCU develop a report writing class, CCU takes heed. Months of research and development headed by Jon Williams, Training Director for Custom Canine Unlimited finally pays off with CCU delivering their first 16 hour K-9 Handler Report Writing Class to a class of K-9 handlers at its headquarters located in Maysville, Georgia.
Student expectations were high for this class and keeping student interest in a “Report Writing” class can be difficult, but is seams CCU has made the grade. “First class job done well” say J. Watson of Columbus Metro.
Developer of this K-9 Report Writing Class Jon Williams states, “My goal was to open handler’s eyes to not only the police aspect of reporting, but reporting for the K-9.” Williams was asked what he discovered as a result of the research and development of this class. He stated, “When I started research for this class, I found no one was offering a comprehensive K-9 report writing class.” He goes on to state, “The varying degree of district court decisions on the matter of K-9 report requirements was surprising.”
No class is ever complete. With each class that is taught it evolves just a little with student reviews and instructor critiques, but this one is off well. Departments have already schedule additional classes and Watson stated, “If you are a K9 handler this is a must have class.”
