The Passing of K9 Oby

CCU Family,

Please join us as we mourn the loss of K9 Oby and send our condolences to his longtime handler LT Paquette, as well as Greene County Sheriff’s Office. LT Paquette is a longtime member of the CCU Family, as is K9 Oby. His presence, loyalty, and work will be greatly missed.

From Greene County Sheriff’s Office: “It is with a heavy heart that the Greene County Sheriff’s Office announces the passing of K-9 Deputy Oby. Oby passed away unexpectedly this morning. Deputy Oby joined the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on October 12th, 2012, and was assigned to Handler LT Patrick Paquette. Throughout his career of service to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, his alerts have led to numerous arrests for payloads of illegal drugs and the seizure of well over 1 million dollars in cash and assets. Deputy Oby was a valued member of the Sheriff’s Office and will be missed tremendously.”
