Summary of Post-Vietnam Era Veterans’ Educational Assistance Program (Chapter 32)

The Veterans’ Educational Assistance Program (VEAP) is a government-supported education benefits program designed to help service members and veterans further their education. For every dollar contributed by the service member, the government matches with $2, offering significant financial assistance for tuition and educational expenses. Eligible participants can receive up to 36 months of benefits, which must be used within 10 years of release from active duty.

Custom Canine Unlimited (CCU), a VA-approved training facility, accepts VEAP education benefits for its specialized K9 handler, trainer, and kennel master courses. With industry-leading instructors and rigorous, hands-on programs, CCU helps veterans and their families build exciting careers in the canine industry. Unique opportunities include:

  • Learning canine body language, health, and advanced techniques like detection and protection.
  • Access to accredited training in fields such as narcotics detection, kennel management, and obedience training.
  • A supportive community backed by professionals, with over 1,000 veterans successfully trained.

By combining VEAP benefits with CCU’s robust curriculum, military personnel and their families can unlock rewarding, life-changing career pathways. Pursue a passion for working dogs and gain certifications that open doors to new opportunities in law enforcement, executive protection, and beyond.
