We’re honored and excited to announce that Custom Canine Unlimited will be attending and instructing at the 2025 Army Military Working Dog (MWD) Symposium!

This event brings together some of the top professionals in military, law enforcement, and K9 operations, and we’re proud to contribute to the continued development and excellence of K9 handlers and support personnel across the country and around the world.

This year, we’ll be teaching a focused and practical course titled:

Affecting an Arrest: Securing the Suspect with the Use of K9

This course is designed for law enforcement officers, military personnel, and private contractors who are directly involved in suspect apprehension. Our instruction will break down proven techniques for effectively affecting an arrest—whether or not a K9 apprehension is used.

Topics Covered Include:

• Proper approach and control during an apprehension

• Arrest procedures with and without a K9

• Techniques for backup officers during suspect control

• Post-arrest protocols, including care, documentation, and report writing
