Thomas Wittliff

CEO/K9 Trainer

Introduction

Thomas Wittliff has worked with dogs for approximately 15 years, beginning with his own dogs before quickly developing a passion for German Shepherds and working dogs.

He is certified through Custom Canine Unlimited as a Full Service Trainer and Kennel Master and opened Canine Unlimited Offleash Pawtential’s training and boarding facility in November 2025.

Before entering professional dog training, Thomas served in the military for 12 years. His experience in positive-based leadership influences the way he approaches dog training today, with an emphasis on communication, consistency, structure, and developing a productive relationship between the dog and handler.

His goal is not simply to teach commands, but to help owners build dogs that are more confident, reliable, and capable in everyday life.

Custom Canine is highly professional subject matter experts in the field of K9 and law enforcement. I took a great deal of LE and K9 knowledge from this course and deeply appreciated the individual time each soldier got to work deficiencies with their dogs.
